Whether you’ve ordered custom artwork many times, or this is your first commission, I’m so happy you’re here.
Every artist varies in their methods and preferences, so let me walk you through my process and invite you into the beautiful world of custom portraits!
Custom portraits are a deeply personal purchase. The cost, the time it takes to create, and the years spent enjoying the piece all say ‘I love this person’. It’s my honor to play a small role in that beautiful sentiment.
The best starting point for a new commission inquiry is to email me at belindaLmoffit@gmail.com and let me know you are interested in ordering a custom portrait.
I will then discuss pricing with you, or you can look at my shop page to view the prices there. All paintings have a 1st payment at the beginning of the process and a 2nd payment upon completion. Prices are based on size and the amount of people in the painting. My preference is 1 or 2 people per painting.
After you have decided on size and subject, I will ask you a series of questions about the person (I love getting to know the people I’m painting), questions about composition, background, whether you want your painting posted on social media platforms, and a few other details.
Each painting take anywhere from 4-8 weeks to complete and you can expect 2 or 3 process updates with photos. Upon completion your painting is carefully packaged and shipped or picked up (depending on location). Shipping is free.
